Historical walking tour of Buttenhausen

This historical walking tour was established in 1996. It leads to important sites in Buttenhausen’s Jewish and Christian history including the Jewish cemetery. The different points of interest testify to 150 years of coexistence of the two religions in the Lauter valley. In addition, reference is made to important local personalities such as Karl Adler, Naphtali Berlinger, Lehmann Bernheimer, Matthias Erzberger and Theodor Rothschild. The places and houses on the tour are adorned with plaques bearing information and maps for better orientation. The walk takes about one hour.
