he abandoned village of Gruorn.
The village of Gruorn on the Swabian Alb is no longer inhabited. In 1939 the Münsingen military training camp was enlarged and all of the residents were moved away. St. Stephanus church and the school house are the only remaining buildings that remind us of village life.
The church is looked after by a committee for the upkeep of the church in Gruorn. It is made up of former residents and their relatives and friends who are dedicated to looking after their former home.
Gruorn lies to the west of the former military training camp and can be reached via the signposted route, on foot or by bicycle.
